F/A-18B Hornet VMFAT-101 Sharpshooters, SH215 / 163115 - Medal of Honor - 2014 - Profile Print

On 2 November, 2012 Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 101 held a dedication ceremony during which they unveiled a restored F/A-18B Hornet specially painted with the names of four  recentMedal of Honor  recipients:

Cpl. Jason L. Dunham, Sgt. Dakota Meyer, MA2 Micheal A Monsoor and Lt. Michael P. Murphy.

The Medal of Honor citations of both Cpl. Dunham (Left) and Sgt. Meyer (right) appear on the port side of the jet, while the citations of MA2 Monsoor and Lt. Murphy are on the starboard side. This F/A-18B Hornet and VMFAT-101 honors these recipients of the United States of America’s highest military honor, awarded for personal
acts of valor and beyond the call of duty,
